Rough Draft 2/3 sided essay
The topic for this paper is heart disease and the different ways that you can contract it. There are three main arguments on how you can get a heart disease and they are: poor nourishment habits, lifestyle choices (mainly referring to living a sedentary lifestyle) and genetics. All three have a direct link and they are all serious threats that should not be taken lightly when taking into account the ramifications of people with heart disease. This paper will analyze each of the threats and view the differences on how one can contract a heart disease from the three possibilities.
The leading cause of heart disease in America is due to people’s poor nourishment habits. If someone does not have the time for proper eating habits they will default to taking the easy option of getting food which consists of fast foods and generally unhealthy foods. It is such a common occurrence to see people contract a heart disease from poor nutrition because as Americans we live a go go go life and people love convenience. What is more convenient than getting your food and going in less than five minutes, for this reason people keep going back for more and more which does more damage to someone than they might think. A poor diet causes putrefaction in the digestive tract providing a perfect breeding ground for pathogenic bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Many cardiovascular problems arise from parasites invading the heart muscle itself.
Another big heart disease factor is a lack of exercise and the sedentary lifestyle of many people. A sedentary lifestyle is considered doing less than 1 hour of physical activity per week which is a more common occurrence than one might presume. Being such a prevalent factor, this is one of the more dangerous ways for someone to get a heart disease because it causes a deprivation of oxygen in the heart and enzymes causing fatty deposits in the arteries which will ultimately lead to heart problems.
The third issue surrounding heart disease is that it is inherited through genetics and ergo cannot always be controlled by how we go about our day to day lifestyle. Heart disease can be inherited from family members in the past. Even if you have no genetic abnormalities, you may be at increased risk for coronary heart disease if your grandfather, father, or brother developed heart disease before the age of 55, or your grandmother, mother, or sister developed it before the age of 65. Even if your parents did not have any heart problems these sorts of things can skip generations and can continue through the genetic line for a long time. Some people might assume that if they inherit a heart disease there is no hope for them and they will be have heart problems forever. This is not necessarily true; with proper exercise and diet your chances of contracting a heart disease are greatly reduced.
While some things hold true for all of these outcomes of heart disease one thing remains prevalent and that is that there is more than one way for someone to have a heart disease. Poor diet and a lack of exercise drastically increases someone’s chances to get a heart disease while genetics are something that people are born with but can be avoided if you do maintain a copacetic lifestyle with good food choices and exercise. All in all heart diseases are the leading cause of death for both men and women and the numbers are rising. There are risk factors that can be taken to prevent/ deteriorate this epidemic and should not be taken lightly.
